Apple and the White House said that the iPhone maker, in cooperation with the Trump administration and federal agencies, has released an app that will guide users to get information about the coronavirus disease from the Centers for Disease Control Guidance on virus-induced diseases.
White House officials said the app, which will be available in the app store as “COVID-19,” will ask users questions about symptoms, location, and risk factors, and then provide appropriate up-to-date guidance from the CDC.
The app will also answer frequently asked questions about coronavirus disease based on official information from the CDC.
Apple headquarters in northern California has been blocked for more than a week.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said earlier this week that the company used Apple’s supply chain team to find and buy protective masks, and then donated 10 million to US healthcare organizations.
