Apple launches iOS 13.4 and releases support for trackpad on iPadOS

Trackpad support was announced with the launch of the new 11 and 12.9 inch iPad Pro.

Apple released updates for its systems on Tuesday, including iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4. And while introducing news for just a few iPhone apps, the company made a significant change to the iPad, which now has trackpad support .
The news had already been announced last week, when Apple launched the new iPad Pro 11 and 12.9 inches . Devices with iPadOS 13.4 are able to enable a cursor on the screen by accessories such as Magic Keyboard, the iPad case that will be sold in May.
In addition to the iPad Pro models, the new version of the operating system is available for iPad Air 2 and newer, iPad 5th generation and newer, and iPad mini 4 and newer.
In the press-driven video above, Apple’s senior vice president of software engineering Craig Federighi demonstrates how the trackpad will work on the iPadOS. The accessory can be used in all actions that would be done by touching the screen.
The iPad cursor has a circle shape most of the time, but changes the look to highlight elements. This happens with icons, buttons and text fields, for example. The tablet also supports gestures to switch between applications, open the Dock and access the control center.

The system has gained a feature that allows you to share all the contents of an iCloud Drive folder with other users. As with Dropbox and Google Drive, users of the Apple service will be able to share files without having to grant access to each one.
The update also involves the Mail application, which has shortcuts at the bottom of the screen to delete, archive, reply and write a message. In addition, Apple has released new Memoji stickers to be used in conversations.
The company has also changed the way developers will launch applications on their platforms. With the new version of the systems, it will be possible to buy an application on the iPhone, for example, and use it on the iPad, Mac and Apple TV.
