According to Coolpad’s official news, today, Coolpad Group’s new product launch conference for smart wearable AR glasses with the theme of “Unlimited Horizons” was held in China Resources Building (Chunsun). At the press conference, Coolpad launched Xview, the first wireless all-in-one AR glasses in China.
Yang Longsheng, the person in charge of Coolpad products, introduced on the spot that Coolpad Xview is the industry’s first product designed with a wearable chip.
It has achieved the limit in power consumption control and has broken through the bottleneck that has been plagued by the industry. The optical display is equipped with optical waveguide technology, achieving industry-leading light transmittance, contrast, and colour.
In terms of interaction, Coolpad and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics established a joint laboratory. It took 5 years to achieve core algorithms such as high-precision fusion positioning, space marking, target recognition and tracking on the wearable chip, realizing virtual and real Perfect fusion.
Coolpad has launched two AR glasses. Among them, the consumer version focuses on lightweight AR applications, which include AR navigation, AR shopping guide, AR communication, AR control, etc., which can be worn alone or connected to mobile phones via Bluetooth use. The industry version integrates 4G communication in the product for the first time and plans to fully support 5G as early as next year.
In terms of price, the consumer version of Coolpad Xview is priced at 2,999 yuan (428 United States Dollar).
