Even after Fortnite leaves the App Store, it is still possible to officially install the game on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. The installation method only needs a small detail to work officially: that you have already downloaded the game at some point on the same Apple account. Is this your case? So come on!
It may not work for a long time
First of all, it’s worth remembering that the fight between Epic Games, the developer of the shooter, and Apple made the apple brand remove Fortnite from the App Store – and that even splashed on the Google Play Store, from Android. This does not mean that the game stopped working automatically on phones and tablets of those who still have the title installed, but it prevents a new download from being made by those who have never downloaded it.
Another important point is that this method works only as long as Epic does not update Fortnite, so the update is mandatory to continue the game. In the meantime, just follow the steps in the next few paragraphs.
How to reinstall Fortnite on iPhone
There is only one official way to re-install a game on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, which is the purchase history and which takes into account every download made on the App Store, even if it is free. This includes the Epic Games game.
To install Fortnite again you need to follow these steps:
- Open the App Store;
- Touch the photo you use for Apple ID in the upper right corner;
- Tap on Purchases and then on My Purchases;
- In the search bar, type ” Fortnite “;
- Touch the icon to download the game.
Once installed again, open the game and log in with your account the way you prefer or create a new account. The Fortnite asks to download content remaining to run the game, which to me was at 9.15 GB and you can return to give shots and build elegant buildings while taking more shots even using an iPhone.
Installation is safe, you can trust
If you are suspicious, since on Android you can install any application outside the Play Store without much difficulty, including Fortnite , you can rest assured.
The installer download comes straight from Apple’s servers (from your history) and the rest of the game comes from Epic Games’ servers. For now, it works.
