WhatsApp is by far one of the most popular messaging application in with over 1.5 billion active users around the world. It is best used for fast and easy communication.
It is as simple as just saving the person’s number and that’s all. However, there are times you just want to chat with a person for a couple of hours and never again but you have to save the number before you can message the person, this could be somewhat annoying as you would have to go back and delete the number from your contact list after the conversation.
To resolve this issue, there is a WhatsApp API that allows you to send messages through WhatsApp without having to add the contact to your address book.
The best thing about it is that you don’t have to download any third party application or root your phone or any other kind of tweaks and it works for both Android and iOS.
How to Send WhatsApp message to People not on your Contact List
To send a message to anybody on WhatsApp without having to save the contact is very easy and simple. Just follow the steps below;
- Open your web browser
- Type in the following WhatsApp link in the address bar “https://wa.me/XXXXXXXXXXX” (replace XXXXXX with the person’s number)
- Enter the country code without + e.g the country code for Nigeria is +234 but when I want to enter the number into the above link I’ll just write 2348028925412 without the +,
- Click ‘enter’ and a new window will open asking if you want to send a WhatsApp message to the number
- Click ‘send‘ and you’ll be redirected to the WhatsApp chat or DM of the person you entered his/her phone number
That’s all folks. So you need not to always save a number before you chat with anybody on WhatsApp.
