Microsoft originally planned to hold a traditional product launch in the spring, but the epidemic around the world made this plan upset. Recently, Microsoft announced that all activities this year will use virtual methods online.
Windowslatest reported that, according to people familiar with the matter, in addition to Surface Go 2, Microsoft will also launch Surface Book 3 in the coming weeks.
According to reports, a source who asked not to be named said that Microsoft plans to hold a virtual event in the last week of April to release Surface Book 3 and Surface Go 2. But until then, everything is uncertain, and virtual activities may be pushed to the first or second week of May.
In addition, the British retailer John Lewis accidentally placed an advertisement for Surface Book 3 on Google, confirming that the device is coming, and the advertisement seems to have been removed.
It is also worth noting that Surface Book 2 is out of stock at John Lewis online store.
According to a list leaked by retailers, Microsoft may launch Surface Book 3 with Intel Comet Lake chips (Intel Core i5-10210U and i7-10510U). These configurations may be used in 13.5 inch and 15 inch versions. It will provide 8GB, 16GB and 32GB of memory, as well as 256GB, 512GB and 1TB solid-state drives.
Like the Surface Book 2, the next generation will also have a separate GPU. Microsoft may use products from Nvidia Quadro.
According to reports, the price of the Surface Book 3 ranges from US $2,186 (about 15,473 yuan) to $4,701 dollars (about 33275 yuan).
Microsoft will also release the Surface Dock 2 docking station in the next few weeks.
