According to XDA-Developers, Qualcomm today released two new Wear OS processors, Snapdragon Wear 4100 Plus and Snapdragon Wear 4100, which is the Qualcomm’s first major upgrade of the smart watch platform.
Qualcomm said that the new chip will greatly increase the speed, GPU, memory, camera and overall battery life have also been greatly improved.
According to reports, the Wear 4100 series chip is upgraded from 28nm to 12nm process, using four A53 processors with a frequency of 1.7GHz, compared to the Wear 3100 equipped with an A7 processor (only 1.1GHz), Qualcomm said that the new processing The performance of the device will be improved by more than 85%. The GPU of the Wear 4100 series is Adreno A504, which is 2.5 times faster than the 3100, and has faster memory.
The QCC1110 coprocessor of Wear 4100 Plus can display 64,000 colors, and supports more functions such as continuous heart rate tracking, alarms, haptic feedback and more. Wear 4100 series uses a new 12nm CPU architecture, battery life will be increased by 25%.
Qualcomm is already shipping Wear 4100 and 4100 Plus chips to hardware manufacturers, and the first devices will be available in the coming months.
